Group Visits

Drottningholm Palace is open for booked groups all year round. We offer tours of the palace's state rooms, the Royal Chapel, the park, Evert Lundquist's studio and the Museum de Vries.

Guided tours can be given in English or Swedish.

Drottningholm Palace
Charges for pre-booked tours of the palace:
SEK 1,000 during ordinary opening hours
SEK 1,900 immediately before or after ordinary opening hours
SEK 3,400 outside ordinary opening hours

These prices relate to 45 minute guided tours for groups of up to 30. Entry charges are not included.

Charges for pre-booked tours of the park or the Royal Chapel:
SEK 1,000 during ordinary opening hours
SEK 1,900 immediately before or after ordinary opening hours
SEK 3,400 outside ordinary opening hours

These prices relate to approximately 45 minute guided tours for groups of up to 30. Entry charges are included.

Evert Lundquist's studio
Tours of Evert Lundquist's studio are given from May to August.

Charges for pre-booked tours:
SEK 1,000 during the Chinese Pavilion's ordinary opening hours
SEK 1,900 immediately before or after the Chinese Pavilion's ordinary opening hours
SEK 3,400 outside the Chinese Pavilion's ordinary opening hours

These prices relate to two 30 minute guided tours for groups of up to 15.

The Museum de Vries
Charges for pre-booked tours:
SEK 1,900 during Drottningholm Palace's ordinary opening hours
SEK 3,400 at other times

These prices relate to 45 minute guided tours for groups of up to 30.
Entry charges are not included:
Adults SEK 100
Children aged 7 to 17 and students SEK 50
Free entry for children under the age of 7 if accompanied by a guardian

You can also book by calling +46 (0)8 402 61 00 on weekdays between 9:00 and 12:00.

In the message state the wishes according date, time, site and number of persons in the group. We will answer you as soon as possible.

All bookings are binding and cancellations must be made three weekdays before the designated tour date. If a cancellation is made less than three weekdays before the visit, the cost of the tour will be charged to the visiting party.

  • Are audio guides available for the royal palaces?

    The Royal Palace of Stockholm: An audio guide in Swedish and English is available for the Bernadotte Apartments and Gustav III’s Museum of Antiquities.

    The Chinese Pavilion: An audio guide is available in Swedish and English

    Audio guides are not available at present for the other palaces.

  • Can I get around by wheelchair/walking frame at the royal palaces?

    Circumstances differ at the various venues. Please look for more information under the heading "Visit us" for the venue you wish to visit or contact our reservations department on +46 (0)8-402 61 00.

  • When is the Drottningholm garden open?

    The garden is open around the clock. There is no entrance fee.

  • What currency can I pay with?

    It is possible to pay with Swedish kronor (SEK), Euro and Dollar. For Euro and Dollar only bills are accepted and change is given in Swedish kronor. It is also possible to pay by credit card.

    At the Royal Stables you can pay with Swedish kronor and by debit card, but not with Euro and Dollar.

     

  • Is it possible to take wedding photos inside the royal palaces?

    Wedding photography is not permitted in the rooms of the royal palaces.

    In the case of wedding ceremonies in Drottningholm Royal Chapel, Rosersberg Palace Chapel, Strömsholm Palace Chapel and Ulriksdal Palace Chapel, it is fine to take photographs in the chapel, but not in the rooms of the palaces.
