Royal Djurgården

Royal Djurgården

Royal Djurgården is Stockholm's most popular recreation area. The area is unique in terms of its natural, cultural and recreational significance, as well as in its own right, and with regard to its proximity to the city.

Visitors to Djurgården can enjoy beautiful nature and a wealth of culture, museums and historic buildings. The Royal Djurgården Administration also makes the land available for various events.

A permanent sculpture park is being created on Royal Djurgården, which is also home to a number of national monuments – see the 'Discover more' menu button.

The park includes Southern and Northern Djurgården, and since 1995 has been part of the Royal National City Park together with Haga, Brunnsviken and Ulriksdal. The park is open all year round.
