Bernadotte bicentenary memorial medal

A memorial medal has been produced to commemorate the Bernadotte dynasty's 200 years on the Swedish throne in 2018. The medal can be purchased from the Royal Gift Shop.

The table medal is made from brass with a silver finish, and depicts the first Bernadotte, King Karl XIV Johan, and our current King Carl XVI Gustaf. The portrait was sculpted by Ernst Nordin.

The medal can be purchased from the Royal Gift Shop at the Royal Palace of Stockholm and Gripsholm Castle, and costs SEK 280.

No other Swedish royal dynasty has reigned for so long, from 1818 to 2018. This is being marked at the royal palaces with events including talks and tours with a Bernadotte theme.
